About the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation.

BIL Willis has completed the curriculum required to display the designation of ABR®. The ABR® designation is geared towards agents who wish to enhance their buyer representation skills, and provides proof to prospective buyer-clients of their proficiency at servicing the special needs of buyers.

What is the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) Designation?

The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council ("REBAC") of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

BIL Willis has met the five major requirements to attain and use the ABR® designation:

Meet the REBAC® education requirement -- complete a 2-day ABR core course through an accredited course provider, or complete the REBAC® Web course, or complete the satellite television education programming through the RE/MAX Satellite Network
Complete one elective course. Current members who have already obtained the ABR® designation are grandfathered as to the elective course requirement. Sample electives are:
--Successful Buyer Representation in New Home Sales
--Representing the e-Buyer
--Successful Relocation Representation
--Innovative Marketing for Buyer's Reps
Pass a written examination on legal and practical aspects of agency representation.
Obtain practical experience acting as a buyer's representative in 5 documented and verifiable transactions. (Valid transactions are those that occurred anytime prior to and up to 36 months after the date the course was completed.)
Be a member in good standing with REBAC® and the National Association of REALTORS® at all times.

An affiliate of THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS since 1996, REBACs membership now numbers well over 40,000 and is the worlds largest organization of real estate professionals concentrating on buyer representation.
